Goldenseal is construction estimator software for contractors, home builders, remodelers and building cost estimators. It's a simple estimating program which gives you quick ballpark prices, or highly accurate bids. The full version of Goldenseal also includes integrated accounting, project management and general business management features. Goldenseal includes several starter files for different types of construction businesses. Each starter file includes a cost category setup, plus construction assemblies that contain the labor hours and material quantities for each type of work in a residential or light commercial building project. Our templates already include the work that is included in several "typical" building projects. You can easily set up more templates for the different types of projects that you specialize in-- just create an estimate and choose Template This Item from the Options menu. Goldenseal is one of the quickest estimating programs currently available, since it includes "smart dimensions" which calculate quantities for you automatically. Just go through the dimension layouts and fill in the blanks, or enter project details "room by room". When you are creating an estimate you can add special conditions such as project delays, costs for custom work, and percentage additions to cover overhead, profit, contingencies and other "soft costs". Since Goldenseal stores all your past estimates so they can easily be found, you can also do "historical" estimates by referring to past projects.
