NOTE-- We retired the MacNail construction software back in 2000,
and replaced it with Goldenseal, a complete software
package for Macintosh and Windows.
Goldenseal is an integrated construction business program
that includes construction
spec writing, plus accounting, construction
estimating, and project
management, Contract setup is much simpler in Goldenseal, with no
use of separate fragments of contract specifications
text. Changing Clause Extras
The MacNail construction management software lets you modify the list
of Clause Extras that can be included in a contract.
To change the text of a Clause Extra, follow
these steps:
1. Choose Clause Extras from the Options menu.
2. Click on the item you'd like to change, then click Edit.
3. Type in the short code name you'd like to use, plus the actual text that will appear in
the contract. Start the text with a lower case letter if it's a sentence fragment, or an upper
case letter if it will be a complete sentence.
NOTE: Spec Writer provides punctuation between clause components, so you don't
need to add commas or periods at the beginning or end of the phrase. Do include any punctuation within
the text.
4. Turn on Write as a complete sentence if you'd like the text to be added as a separate sentence after
the rest of the clause. Turn that option off if you'd like the text to be included in the same sentence
as the rest of the clause.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for any other items you want to change.
6. Click Done when you are finished with the list. |
