Clearing Extra Spaces

NOTE-- Goldenseal software for construction companies replaced MacNail, back in 2000. It handles construction spec writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, This manual is still online, as a courtesy to die-hard MacNail users! Goldenseal uses a simpler method for replacing text in construction contracts, so it is much less likely to add extra spaces.

Clearing Extra Spaces

If there are extra spaces at the beginning or end of 'smart grammar' items from the MacNail construction management software, you may end up with double spaces in parts of your contracts.

To remove them, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Change command or the Find/Replace command in your word processor program.
2. Type two spaces as the text to find, and one space as the text that it should be changed to.
3. Click Change All, or whichever other command that your word processor uses to change all occurrences in the file.
4. All extra spaces will be removed.
