Construction Contract Options |
NOTE-- MacNail construction software was retired in 2000. and replaced with Goldenseal-- which handles construction spec writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, This manual is still online, as a courtesy to die-hard MacNail users! Goldenseal doesn't use quite as sophisticated a method of phrase-building for contracts, but it still works very well, and is much easier to understand. More Contract Options Under Characters per spreadsheet line, type in the number of letters and other characters you'd like to have in each line of a contract saved as a spreadsheet. It must be a number between 40 and 255. NOTE: Usually you'll enter the approximate number of characters that will fill one line of text in the contract. This number will vary depending on the font, font size and margins that you use. 10 point Helvetica with 3/4" margins has room for about 110 characters per line. With 12 point Helvetica text, there is room for about 88 characters. Under Maximum number of repeating clauses, enter the largest number of clauses that will appear in a repeating clause before the introductory line is used again. For example, if you enter a 3 and you are using phrase number four, then the clauses will look something like this: Contractor will: Contractor will: Once you have entered your choices for the handling of contract text in the MacNail construction management software , click OK. Click Cancel if you want to keep the original settings for Contract Options. |
