Construction Contract Options |
NOTE-- MacNail construction software was retired in 2000. and replaced with Goldenseal-- which handles construction spec writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, This manual is still online, as a courtesy to die-hard MacNail users! Goldenseal uses a similar contract-writing system, but it's easier to use, and much faster. Contract Options To control the overall look of a contract created by the MacNail project management software, choose Contract Options from the Options menu. The Default Phrase will be used for any clauses that don't have a choice in the phrase column of the Clauses file (or if the number that is there is not between 1 and 7). Choose the type of phrase you'd like to use in that case. Turn on the Always use Default Clause option to use the default phrase type for every phrase in the contract. In that case, every clause will use the same sentence structure (if Random is the default clause, each clause will be chosen randomly). Turn this option off to use the sentence type listed in the phrase column for each clause. Turn on Include Division headings to insert construction category headings, based on those listed in an estimate, project list or schedule from the MacNail construction management software. NOTE: The cost headings will be listed, along with whatever title you enter in the Other Wording dialog (see page 143). |
