Creating a Construction Contract

NOTE-- We retired all MacNail construction software modules, back in 2000. It has been replaced with Goldenseal, a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows that handles contract writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, This manual is still online as a service to die-hard MacNail users. It's easy to create contracts in Goldenseal. Takes about a minute to set up.

Creating a Contract

Once you have prepared the source file and checked all options, you'll be ready to actually use the MacNail construction management software to create a finished contract.

To create a new general construction contract, choose New Contract from the File menu.

You'll be shown a dialog box where you can control exactly what to include in the contract. To include any of the four basic contract components, turn on its checkbox. To do so, click on the box so it has an x in it.

NOTE: To exclude an item, click on the box again so the checkbox is empty.

Once you've chosen the exact components you'd like to use, click OK, and the contract will be created by the MacNail project management software .
