Changing Contract Headers

NOTE-- We retired MacNail Spec Writer and the rest of the MacNail construction software, back in 2000. It has been replaced with Goldenseal, a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows that handles construction spec writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, You can enter any header and footer text into each Contract record in Goldenseal, and then use it to create contracts or subcontracts.

Changing Headers and Footers

To change the text in an existing Header or Footer file in the MacNail construction management software, follow these steps:

1. Open the file with your word processor program.
2. Make the desired changes.
3. Choose Save from the File menu.
4. Some word processors will automatically save the file in text format. If you are shown a 'Save As' dialog box, save the file under the original name. Make sure that the file is saved using the Text format.

NOTE: MacWrite, ClarisWorks and Write Now will open the file under a new name. Type in the original file name before you save. When asked whether to replace the existing copy of the file, click Replace (or Yes).
