Excel Paragraph Setup

NOTE-- We retired MacNail Spec Writer and the rest of the MacNail construction software, back in 2000. At that time we replaced it with Goldenseal, a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows that handles contract writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, These manuals are still online as a courtesy to die-hard MacNail users. You can use Excel to format and print contracts created by the contract-writer in Goldenseal, but it's much easier to do it in a word processor instead.

Change Paragraph Spacing for Contracts

To change the appearance of contract documents created from the MacNail construction management software, or set off different contract sections, you can vary the spacing between lines and between paragraphs.

To change paragraph spacing in a spreadsheet contract, follow these steps:
1. Drag the mouse through the rows you'd like to change.
2. Choose Row Height from the Format menu.
3. Enter a new value for the vertical spacing, then click OK.

Another way to change spacing in a spreadsheet contract:
1. If row headings are not already visible at the far left of the document, choose Display from the Options menu, and turn on Row and Column headings.
2. Click the mouse on the bar between two numbers. The cursor will change to a .
3. Drag the bar up or down to change the spacing of that row.

HINT: If you select several row numbers and then change the row height of one of them, all of the selected rows will be changed to the same height.
