Using Reminder Lists |
NOTE-- We retired the entire MacNail construction software package back in 2000 or 2001, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction management software. Like MacNail, it was developed for builders, remodelers and other small businesses. Goldenseal is now a mature stand-alone program that handles accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. As an aid to project management, Goldenseal includes Problem Logs (which are similar to Reminder Lists in MacNail). You can use Problem Logs as a construction punch list tracking system. Using Project Reminder Lists You will probably want to refer to your reminder lists frequently-- they will help you to cut down on project delays and extra costs caused by forgetfulness. They'll also make it easier for you to maintain high standards of quality in your work. Deleting Completed Reminders When a reminder item has been completed, remove it as follows: 1. Click anywhere in the row
of the item that is finished-- or select more than one row, if desired, by dragging
the mouse through them. NOTE: If
you choose *Delete/Double-Check, the item will be deleted from the reminder list, and added to the
Double Check List. When work is confirmed, use *Delete Rows to remove the item from the Double-Check List. As you add and delete reminders, the oldest items will "float" to the top of the list-- where they are more likely to grab your attention in the MacNail construction scheduling software. |
