Master Reminder List

NOTE-- We retired the entire MacNail construction software package back in 2000 or 2001, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction management software. Like MacNail, it was developed for builders, remodelers and other small businesses. Goldenseal is now a mature stand-alone program that handles accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. In the Goldenseal Problem Log, you can list all tasks and reminders as you hear of them, and then create a report of to-do items for one employee, one subcontractor or one project.

Master Reminder List for All Projects

If you have reminders from many jobs to enter at once, type them into the Master Reminder List. This file is similar to the Job Reminder Lists, but it has two additional columns that allow you to list the job to which each item applies in the MacNail construction scheduling software.

NOTE: The Master Reminder List will always have "Master Reminder List" as a file name. There is only one Master Reminder List.

To open the Master Reminder List, choose *Master Reminder List from the MacNail (McN) menu.

Type in a project code number for each job in the first column, and the project name will be "looked up" in the next column. If you are using MacNail Accounting, the Accounting Master Index (MacNail's chart of accounts) will be used.

If you are not using MacNail Accounting, a special version of the Master Index in the Scheduling Blanks folder will be used for the MacNail project management software.

You can add, change and delete reminders in the Master Reminder List, just as you would in the individual Job Reminder Lists.

If you would like to move all items in the Master Reminder List to each of the individual Job Reminder Lists, choose *Get Master Reminders from the Data menu. This command will step through each item in the Master Reminder List, and transfer it to the appropriate Job Reminder List.
