Project Punch Lists |
NOTE-- We retired the entire MacNail construction software package back in 2000 or 2001, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction management software. Like MacNail, it was developed for builders, remodelers and other small businesses. Goldenseal is now a mature stand-alone program that handles accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. There are Problem Log records in Goldenseal that you can use to track bugs or construction punch list items. Project Punch Lists As reminders, problems, punch list items and and "to do" items accumulate, enter them into the Job Reminder List for that project in the MacNail construction scheduling software, so you won't forget them. NOTE: The file name for a Job Reminder List will always be the project name, followed by the words "Reminder List" (for example, Smith Reminder List). You may have many Job Reminder Lists at one time-- usually you will have one for each project that is currently active. This file is a "floating" reminder list, with the oldest (and usually most urgent) items rising to the top as older items are deleted and newer items are added at the bottom. To enter a reminder into the Job Reminder List, type in full information for the item-- due date, who needs to work on the item, the location of the work item, the reminder that needs to be taken care of, and any comments you may have. You can leave any fields blank if the information does not apply. NOTE: If there isn't enough room for all your reminders, choose *Add Rows at Bottom from the Edit menu to insert more rows (see page 78). |
