Deleting Rows

NOTE-- We retired the MacNail estimating program in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still a significant number of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It uses records instead of spreadsheet rows.

Delete Rows

Choose Delete Rows to permanently delete a row or rows from a worksheet in the MacNail construction management software. This command works on most types of Customizing files.

The rows beneath the deleted row or rows will be moved up to take their place.

NOTE: The Delete Rows command will remove Specification line items from an estimate or estimator. To delete an entire cost category instead, choose Delete Category from the Format menu (see page 217).

To delete a row or rows:
1. Drag the mouse through any cells in the row or rows you'd like to delete.
2. Choose Delete Rows from the Edit menu.
3. Click OK in the confirming dialog box.
4. The entire row or rows will be deleted.
