Missing Dimensions or Categories

I don't see any dimensions, cost categories or unit costs!

Most of the Goldenseal starter files include estimating dimensions, Cost Categories, Cost Items and Assemblies.

If your current file does not include those items, you probably started with a new blank file instead of a starter file.

HINT-- To check if you are in a starter file, choose Assemblies from the Costs menu, and look at the Items quantity in the upper left corner of the window. If there are zero items, you probably didn't use a starter file.

If you haven't entered any data yet, throw out your current file and start with a starter file instead.

If you have entered data and want to save it, follow these steps to move it into a starter file:

1. In your current file, choose Export from the File menu, and choose Entire Company File from the submenu.
2. Save the export on your hard drive and remember where it is.
3. Goldenseal may take a few minutes exporting your data.
4. When it is finished, choose Exit or Quit from the File menu.
5. Open a starter file.
6. Choose Import from the File menu, and choose Company File from the submenu.
7. Locate the file you saved in step 2, and import it.
