NOTE-- We
retired MacNail Spec Writer and the rest of the MacNail
construction software, back in 2000. It has been replaced
with Goldenseal, a complete
software package for Macintosh and Windows that handles construction
spec writing, plus accounting, construction
estimating, and project
management, Goldenseal uses a similar system for storing stock contract
clauses, which you can include in any contracts through the use of
a Contract
Package. Editing Stock Clauses
To change the text of any stock clauses in the MacNail project management software,
follow these steps:
1. Choose Stock Clauses from the Options menu.
HINT: When creating a new contract, you can also click Edit List when asked to choose stock clauses.
2. You'll be shown a listing of all the stock clause. Click on the one you'd like to
change, then click Edit.
3. If the item is a custom clause, you can type in a new item name if desired. If the item is a basic clause,
the item name can't be changed.
4. Type in the text you'd like to include in the stock clause. If it's a basic clause, you'll
have to include a key word that will locate project information in the clause (see the next section).
NOTE: Stock clauses can have a maximum of 255 characters.
5. Choose the location where the clause should appear in the contract. You can put it at the beginning of
the contract, between headers and specs, between specs and footers, or at the very end of the contract.
6. Click OK.
7. Repeat steps 2 to 6 for any other clauses you'd like to change. When you are finished, click the
Done button. |
