NOTE-- In
2000 we retired the MacNail construction software package.
Goldenseal is the successor-- it's a complete software
package for Macintosh and Windows that handles contract
writing, plus accounting, construction
estimating, and project
management, In Goldenseal, it is easier to see how contract text
will sound, since it's not broken down into parts of
speech as we did in MacNail.
Printing a list of Contract Clauses
To check clauses to see if they sound right, you can also
create a printed listing of some or all of the clauses in the MacNail construction management software. To
do so, follow these steps:
1. Open the
Clauses file.
2. If you only want to print out some clauses, select any cells in the rows you'd like to print.
3. Choose New Contract from the File menu.
4. Turn on the Include Specs option, and select either This File-- All Items (to print all clauses)
or This File-- Selected Range (to print just the selected items). Turn off the Include Headers,
Include Footers and Include Stock Clauses options.
5. Click OK.
6. A contract document will be produced, showing the text of the clauses you selected. Each line
item will be numbered with the item code number from the Clauses file, to make it easier to match
them up.
7. If you chose spreadsheet as a file type, format the file however you'd like (see pages 88 to 94),
then choose Print from the File menu to print the file. Otherwise, switch to a word processor, format the
file, then print it from there (see pages 80 to 87). |
