Opening Contract Files

NOTE-- MacNail construction software was retired in 2000, and replaced with Goldenseal-- a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows. Goldenseal is a complete construction business software package that includes construction spec writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, It stores all your company data in a single file, which avoids the hassles of MacNail's many support files.

File Menu

The MacNail construction management software adds three convenient utility commands to the bottom of the File menu.

NOTE: If you can't see all of the menu commands, select the 'down arrow' at the bottom of the menu, and the remaining commands will scroll into view.

Open File

Choose Open File to open any Spec Writer file.

When you first choose this command, it shows you a list of available file types. Select one, then click OK.

You'll then see a list of files of that type. Select the file you'd like to open, then click OK.
