NOTE-- We retired the MacNail construction software back in 2000,
and replaced it with Goldenseal, which is a complete,
integrated business software
package for Macintosh and Windows. Goldenseal handles construction
spec writing, plus accounting, construction
estimating, and project
management, It uses a similar process to assemble contracts for your
construction projects.
Moving Allowances to the Main Contract
If you have chosen
to list allowances in a separate file, you can either print the Allowances file separately, or append
the allowances to the main contract file after both have been created in the MacNail construction management
software.
To add the allowances to the
main contract in a word processor file, follow these steps:
1. Open the Allowances file.
2. Drag the mouse through all the text in the file.
3. Choose Copy from the Edit menu.
4. Open the main contract file.
5. Click the mouse at the spot where you'd like to add the allowances.
6. Choose Paste from the Edit menu.
7. Add carriage returns as necessary.
To add the allowances to the main contract in a spreadsheet
file, follow these steps:
1. Open the Allowances file.
2. Check the number of rows that are taken up by the allowances.
3. Open the main contract file.
4. Click at the location where you'd like to add the allowances, and drag down through the number of rows found
in step 2.
