Contract Wording

NOTE-- We retired MacNail Spec Writer and the rest of the MacNail construction software, back in 2000. It has been replaced with Goldenseal, a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows that handles contract writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, You can use Contract Preferences in Goldenseal, to set some of the details of contract wording.

More Contract Wording Options

Use the Other Wording command to set contract text in the MacNail construction management software.

Specs division text-- If your contract includes division headings (see page 45), this is the text that will be used to start each division heading. You can replace this with 'Section' or some similar word.

Approximate text-- If you use the 'approximate quantities' option in Clause Options (see page 44), this is the actual text that will be used.

Exact cost text-- If you use the 'show cost' option in Clause Options, this is the actual text that will be used when an exact cost is flagged (see page 45).

Repeating item text-- If you use phrase types #4, #5 or #6 (see page 125), this is the character or characters that will be placed in front of each repeating clause.

Approximate cost text-- If you use the 'show cost' option in Clause Options (see page 45), this is the actual text that will be used if an approximate cost is flagged.

L and M allowance text-- If you use a Labor and Materials allowance (see page 41), this is the actual text that will be used before the allowance cost.

Material allowance text-- If you use a Materials-only allowance (see page 41), this is the actual text that will be used before the allowance cost.
