Contract Phrase Wording

NOTE-- We retired MacNail Spec Writer and the rest of the MacNail construction software, back in 2000. It has been replaced with Goldenseal, a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows that handles contract writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, Goldenseal does not have quite as many options for building sentences to include in contract, but it's also much easier to use.

Phrase Wording

The MacNail construction management software allows you to change the wording used in the six different phrase types. To change phrase wording, follow these steps:

1. Choose Phrase Wording from the Options menu.
2. Type in the new wording you'd like to use in each of the six phrase types.
EXAMPLE: You might want to use 'shall' instead of 'will' in some phrases.
3. Click OK to save the changes you've made.

HINT: If you want to use 'the contractor' instead of 'contractor' in all phrase types, remove the 'the' from phrases 2 and 3, and add a 'the' to the contractor text in Other Wording (see page 142).
