Construction Subcontractors |
NOTE-- In 2000 we retired all parts of MacNail construction software, and replaced it with Goldenseal, which is a complete software package for Macintosh and Windows. Goldenseal handles contract writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, You can create subcontracts in Goldenseal, with just some items from the estimate included in the project specifications. Selecting Subcontractors When you make a new subcontract from the MacNail project management software, you will first be asked to select the types of work to include in the new subcontract. Turn on the checkbox for each type of work you'd like to include in the subcontract. HINT: To turn an item on, click the mouse in the empty checkbox, so an x appears in it. To turn an item off, click a second time on the checkbox, so the x is removed. When the subcontract is made, the 'who' column of the Clauses file will be examined by the MacNail construction management software. Only those line items that contain a checked-off subcontractor name will be included in the subcontract. NOTE: The name in the 'who' column must be an exact text match with the name in the subcontractor list. To make sure it matches, use the Subcontractors command to enter names in the Clauses file (see page 127). |
