Construction Allowance Display |
NOTE-- We retired MacNail Spec Writer and the MacNail construction software 2000. It has been replaced with Goldenseal, an integrated software program for Macintosh and Windows that handles contract writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, Goldenseal uses a similar approach, when adding allowances to a construction contract. How Allowances are Displayed Each clause that is allowanced will have the allowance cost added to the end of the clause. For example, the clause might read "Contractor will fill 115 holes in the wall, at a labor and materials allowance cost of $100." The allowance cost will be based on the price shown in the estimate, project list or schedule from the MacNail construction management software. NOTE: To change the text used to describe the allowance, see page 143. If the item is a Labor & Materials allowance, the cost that is shown will be equal to the total cost of the item. If the item is a Materials Only allowance, only the material cost is used. If there is no material cost listed, one-half of the subcontractor cost will be used instead. |
