Sorting Project Reminders

NOTE-- We replaced the entire MacNail software package with Goldenseal construction management software, back in 2000. Like MacNail, Goldenseal helps remodelers, construction contractors, and other project-based businesses to do accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. There is also a Sort command in Goldenseal,which allows you to sort any type of records into any order.

Sorting Project Reminders

You can sort any Reminder List to put it into an order more useful to you. Choose *Sort Special from the Data menu to accomplish this feat in the MacNail project management software.

WARNING: Do not use the Excel Sort command-- it is harder to set up than the *Sort Special command, and it can cause damage to your worksheet if used incorrectly.

You can sort the reminder list in date order, or by any of the other listed parameters. You can also sort in either ascending or descending order.

Sorting is handy if you want to see all reminders for a particular job, person, or location, grouped together in adjacent cells in the MacNail construction scheduling software.

To restore a sorted reminder list to its original chronological order, choose *Sort Special, and sort by date in ascending order.
