Scheduling Options |
NOTE-- We retired MacNail back in 2000 or 2001, right after we introduced Goldenseal construction business software. Like MacNail, Goldenseal is built for home builders, remodelers and other project-based businesses. It's is "run your whole business" software that creates simple construction schedules, and also handles your accounting, construction estimating, and project management needs. Goldenseal does not require the Excel spreadsheet program, so it is much simpler to set up than MacNail. Reminder Options Reminder Options apply to the Master Reminder List, Job Reminder Lists and the Double Check List. Reminder Lead Times The *Get Schedule Reminders command will retrieve reminders associated with any schedule items ready to do in the near future. The reminder lead time number tells the MacNail construction scheduling software how far to "look ahead" when getting schedule reminders. For example, if you want to get all reminders for work that will occur in less than one week, type in 7 for a reminder lead time. If you then run *Get Schedule Reminders on December 1, all schedule items that are dated December 8 or earlier will be used to generate stock reminders. Save Files Automatically If this box is checked, the MacNail project management software will automatically save all punch lists or reminder lists after they are updated. This makes the updating process take a little longer, but it also prevents any chance of your losing information by closing a document without saving changes. Alert for Missing Reminders If this box is checked, the MacNail project management software will warn you if it can't find requested Job Reminder Lists. Add xxx rows at bottom Type in the number of rows you'd like the MacNail project management software to add when you choose the *Add Rows at Bottom command. |
