Project Scheduling Troubleshooting

NOTE-- In 2000 we retired our MacNail construction software program, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that handles accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. Goldenseal does not use Excel to run, so it won't give the mystery error messages that sometimes happened in MacNail.

Be sure to Name this File Scheduling Manager 3.0-or-Sorry, You'd Better Use Scheduling Manager version xxx

You must not change the name of the Scheduling Manager, and you must use the most recent version of the Scheduling Manager from the MacNail construction scheduling software.

Blank Worksheet Opens When You Double-click on a Document -or-Can't Find Application

Your excel version number is less than the version required to open this document. For instance, you may be trying to open an Excel 2.2 document with Excel 1.5.

Can't Paste, -or-Can't Fill Down

Press the Enter key. Unprotect the document. In Excel 2.2, switch to short menus.

Document Name Could Not be Opened

There was not enough memory to open the file, or it could not be found where it was supposed to be. Check your file names and folder arrangements (see page 14).

Enter Key Doesn't Work

The Enter Key doesn't move to another cell when the document is not protected. Use the Return or Tab keys, or protect the document in the MacNail project management software.

Everything is Empty Cells

You have probably scrolled down past the bottom of the worksheet. Slide the scroll bar at the right side of the window all the way to the top.
