Scheduling Options

NOTE-- We retired MacNail back in 2000 or 2001, right after we introduced Goldenseal construction business software. Like MacNail, Goldenseal is built for home builders, remodelers and other project-based businesses. It's is "run your whole business" software that creates simple construction schedules, and also handles your accounting, construction estimating, and project management needs.

Show Status/Message Bar

Leave this item unchecked to remove the status bar from the bottom of the screen to conserve screen space (Excel 2.2 only). If you hide the Status/Message bar, you won't be able to see progress indicators and other messages from the MacNail construction scheduling software.

Shorter MacNail Menu

If you have a small screen and use MultiFinder, the McN menu will obstruct the MultiFinder icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Put a check next to this item to rename the "McN" menu to "M", which will provide more room for the MacNail project management software.

NOTE: If you have a larger monitor, or if you don't use MultiFinder, leave this button unchecked.

Use Date in Report File Names

If this option is checked, material takeoffs, tool lists, punch lists and extracts will include the creation date in the file name-- Plumber Punch List 12/1/90. If it is not checked, the date will not be included-- Plumber Punch List.
