Linking to Other Scheduling Programs

NOTE-- We retired the entire MacNail construction software package in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction scheduling software. You can also export schedules out of Goldenseal, and into other scheduling software programs. Goldenseal is a complete computer software program for home builders and remodelers, providing accounting, estimating, and project scheduling features.

Exporting Schedules to Other Scheduling Software

This chapter explains how to export a MacNail schedule to other scheduling programs. MacNail's export feature allows you to set up detailed project information in MacNail, and then send it to programs designed specifically for generating Gantt charts and critical path method (CPM) scheduling.

MacNail 3.0 can "link" with three different scheduling programs:
* MacProject II, from Claris, Inc.
* FastTrack Schedule, from AEC Information Systems, Inc.
* MacSchedule, from Mainstay, Inc.

You will use the *Export Schedule command to link to each of these project management software programs from the MacNail construction scheduling software.
