Don't Change in the Construction Blank

NOTE-- We retired MacNail construction software in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction management software. Goldenseal is a complete computer software package for builders and remodelers, providing accounting, estimating, and project management features, plus simple 'time line' project schedules.

What Not to Do in Construction Blanks

Changes that will damage MacNail Construction Blank:

1. Do not change the subtitles for any task. The subtitle is used by the MacNail construction scheduling software to know where to put each MacNail construction item.
2. Do not delete any tasks.
3. Do not "hide" any columns in the Project Table by setting their column width to zero.

Whenever you make changes, you must also:

1. Bring the Project Table to the front with the Project Table command.
2. Choose Export Data from the File menu.
3. Call the exported file MacProject Blank, and use the File Finder to put it inside the Scheduling Blanks folder.
4. Choose All rows s a range, and make sure the document format is Tab Delimited.
5. Click OK. If asked whether to replace the existing version of MacProject Blank, click OK.

NOTE: There must be an exact match between the MacNail Construction Blank file and the MacProject Blank file. If there are any discrepancies, the export will not be completed successfully. Exporting the schedule and using it as a blank for the import insures that the match will be correct.
