Parallel Work |
NOTE-- We retired MacNail in 2000 or 2001, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction business software. Like MacNail, Goldenseal is designed for builders, remodelers and other small project-based businesses. Goldenseal is "run your business" software that handles simple construction scheduling, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, Like MacNail, Goldenseal creates very simple "time line" schedules, but it doesn't attempt to handle limited critical path scheduling as we did with this command in MacNail. Parallel Work The *Parallel Work command allows two groups of schedule items to be done simultaneously within the MacNail construction scheduling software. Their date formulas will be adjusted so work for the first item of each group begins at the same time, and subsequent work follows whichever parallel path takes longer. To schedule work in parallel: 1. Select the first range of cells on a schedule that you want
to be done in parallel. NOTE: To avoid damage to the new parallel formulas, the *Add Rows, *Delete Rows, *Clear Rows and *Time Formulas commands will not work on rows marked with a ¶ in the MacNail project management software. The marked rows have special time formulas that might be damaged by those commands. Running time: 5 seconds/15 seconds. |
