NOTE-- In 2000 we replaced MacNail with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still plenty of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for their use! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It replaces both MacNail and HyperEstimator, plus the Bid Magic program that eventually replaced HyperEstimator. Step Four: Finish off in MacNail Estimating Once you have imported the estimate into the MacNail construction estimating software, treat it just like a normal MacNail estimate. All of the project dimensions from the Hyper*Estimator will be visible in the Dimensions portion of MacNail. You can change any of them, if you discover a mistake or if there is a design change. Construction items included in the Hyper*Estimators will be included automatically in the Specifications list of the MacNail construction estimator software. You should only need to handle the following types of items in MacNail (see page 95): |
