Customizing-- Edit Menu Commands

NOTE-- We retired the MacNail estimating program in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still a significant number of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It is a standalone program that does not require Excel.

Edit Menu Commands

MacNail Customizing adds six new commands to the bottom of the Edit menu, to help you when editing Customizing files. All of the MacNail commands start with an asterisk (*).

NOTE: Some Edit menu commands may not be visible on a small screen. Drag the mouse down to the very bottom of the menu to see the remaining commands.

Add Rows Here

Choose Add Rows Here to insert a row or several rows at the selected location within a MacNail construction management software worksheet. This command works on most types of Customizing files.

To add rows:

1. Click anywhere within the row where you'd like to have new rows appear.
2. Drag the mouse down though as many rows as you would like to add at the selected location.
3. Choose *Add Rows Here from the Edit menu.
4 Click OK in the confirming dialog box (or type the Enter or Return key).

The new row will be added just above the top row of your selection. The number of rows to be added will be equal to the number of rows you have selected.
