Can I track income and expenses
for different company divisions?
In Goldenseal accounting
software version 2.8
we have added Company Division fields in more places,
so you can track your income and expenses
by Company Division.
To assign income sources to a Company
Division, follow these steps:
- Choose Account Groups from the Options menu, and choose Job
Types from the submenu.
- Open each Job Type, and fill in the Company Division to which it belongs.
- Click OK to save changes.
- When you are finished, click the Close button.
- Open each Custom account and Project account, and give it a Job Type.
- You can now use report breakdowns to see income for each company division.
To assign expense sources to a Company Division, follow these steps:
- Choose Account Groups from the Options menu, and choose Cost
Account Types from the
submenu.
- Open each Cost Account Type, and fill in the Company Division to which it belongs.
- Click OK to save changes.
- When you are finished, click the Close button.
- Open each Employee, Material, Subcontractor and Other Cost account, and give it a Cost
Account Type.
- You can now use report
breakdowns to see expenses for each company division.
