Missing Dimensions

When I choose Estimate Dimensions, I don't see any dimensions!

If you start with a Starter File, Goldenseal estimating software will include dimensions for that type of business.

NOTE-- The Retail and Service business files don't have any dimensions, since estimating is less important for those business types and can usually be handled through Sales.

If you start with a new (empty) file, there won't be any dimensions.

Importing Dimensions

If you'd like to import dimensions from another file, follow these steps:

1. Open one of the starter files that includes dimensions.
2. Choose Export from the File menu, choose Other Items from the submenu, and choose Dimension Layouts from the second submenu.
3. Click Save. Goldenseal will create a layout file on your hard drive- remember its name and location.
4. Quit or Exit from Goldenseal.
5. Open your company file.
6. Choose Import from the File menu, choose Other Items from the submenu, and choose Dimension Layouts from the second submenu.
7. Locate the file you created in step 3.
8. Goldenseal will bring in the dimensions.
