Contracts from an Estimate

Problem

Contract for a Project account shows other estimates, but not the correct Estimate for that project.

Diagnosis

User is making a Contract in version 2.5 or earlier of Goldenseal construction estimating software. They've entered a project, and they choose Estimate as the Specs Source, but it shows them other estimates and not the one for the entered project.

Solution

For older versions, use Project as the Specs Source instead, and enter the project there.

As of version 2.6 of Goldenseal project management software, we make a contract or subcontract directly from the project, and simply leave the Specs Source disabled and blank. That means you don't need to enter the Estimate at all, since we fetch contract information from it automatically.
