BidMagic Takeoff Commands Disabled

Problem

'print material takeoff' and 'export material takeoff' commands are grayed out
Can't make takeoffs, menu greyed out in BidMagic Construction Estimating Software

Diagnosis

Check to see what they have inside the BidMagic folder. For Mac, Should have BidMagic 1.5 application, BidMagic 1.5 template, and BidMagic Material Manager. For Windows, should have BM15TMPL.BID and MATERIAL.MGR there (BIDMAGIC.EXE should be in BMBlanks directory)

Also won't work on a 1.2 estimating template. Can go to the Welcome card to see which template version it is.

Solution

BidMagic 1.5 application, BidMagic 1.5 template, and BidMagic Material Manager all need to be in place. Install or move files so they're all there, then quit BidMagic Construction Estimating Software and restart.

NOTE-- We retired BidMagic estimating software back in 2002, and replaced with Goldenseal-- which is integrated estimating software and project management software (plus optional accounting software).
