Custom Material Adjusters

Problem

custom material adjusters not calculating right in BidMagic construction estimating software.

Diagnosis

the standard material adjusters are all multipliers, which will always calc correctly. However, in versions of BM prior to June 94, addition adjusters such as +SQRT(gableWidth) will NOT calculate correctly. Show Cost will show correct cost, but bottom line and specs export will be off.

Solution

They need to be sent latest update. (Can also fix problem by splitting their spec item into two costs: one for the standard cost, one for the adjusted cost)

NOTE-- This answer applies to BidMagic estimating software, which we retired in 2002. It has been replaced by Goldenseal, which is integrated estimating software and project management software (plus optional accounting software).
