NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating
software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction
estimating software.
We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual
as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are
similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Sharing Estimating Unit Prices
MacNail Customizing provides sophisticated
tools for managing unit prices. You can use it to maintain unit prices for BidMagic, with or without
the use of MacNail Estimating.
Moving Prices from MacNail to BidMagic
MacNail Customizing includes a Price Master file, where
all unit prices for MacNail and BidMagic are stored. You can work on prices in MacNail, and then
move them to BidMagic so you can also use
them there.
Maintaining prices with MacNail Customizing
MacNail Customizing includes several unit price management features
that will help you to keep up with the latest prices in the BidMagic construction estimating software.
With MacNail Customizing, you can:
*
Collect the latest supplier prices, and recalculate all material unit prices with the Update Material Prices
command.
*
Create material assemblies for new specification items, so their unit prices are adjusted whenever supplier
prices change.
*
Feed back job cost experience into the construction price book, so unit prices will grow more accurate
with time.
NOTE: Job Cost feedback requires MacNail Accounting as well as MacNail Customizing.
For detailed
instructions in the use of MacNail Customizing, see the MacNail Customizing Manual.
