Navigating in Estimates

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

The BidMagic construction estimating software makes it easy to get 'from here to there' while you are making a bid or an estimate. This is very helpful when you are reading blueprints or spec sheets, since you will often have to enter information that is out of sequence.

Using the Navigate Menu

To get to any of the main sections of BidMagic, use the Navigate menu at the top of the screen. To select a menu item, follow these steps:

Click the mouse on the menu and hold down the mouse button.
Move the mouse so it highlights the desired command.
Release the mouse button.

Most of the Navigate menu commands take you to specific cards that are part of the estimating process. Recent Card takes you to the card you were in most recently, Previous Card takes you to the card that is to the left of the current card, and Next Card takes you to the next card in the estimating sequence.
