Estimating Masonry

The BidMagic construction estimating software includes unit costs for masonry.

Masonry Estimating

This card covers masonry costs for brickwork, concrete blocks and stonework. It also includes metal fireplaces and chimneys.

NOTE: If you subcontract masonry for a flat fee, you can enter the actual bid directly instead of itemizing costs (see page 255).

Walls & Foundation includes cinderblock or concrete block walls, whether used for basements, stem walls, upstairs walls or retaining walls.

Brick Work covers structural and veneer brick work, and repairs of existing brick walls.

Fireplace & Chimney includes metal and masonry fireplaces and chimneys.

Stucco Coatings handles troweled, brushed and sprayed-on stucco coatings or pargings, over masonry or foam.

NOTE: The cost of foam board itself will be covered under Insulation or Wall Framing.

Stone & Earth Work includes the construction and repair of stone, adobe, or rammed earth structures.

Other Masonry gives you a place to add any other masonry costs.
