Estimating Menu Commands

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

File Menu

The File menu in BidMagic estimating software helps you to manage your construction estimates and bids.

Open -O

Choose Open to open a file with the BidMagic construction estimating software.
Click on the file you'd like to open, then click Open, or double-click on the file name.

To 'navigate' to a different folder on your hard drive, you can:
* Double-click on any folder to get inside it.
* Click on the folder name at the top to move outside the current folder.
* Click the Drive or Desktop button to move to another disk (see the Macintosh Reference Guide for more information about the use of the File Open dialog).
Turn on the Open Bid in new window option to have more than one bid open at a time (see page 68). Turn it off if you'd like to close the current estimate when you open the new one.

NOTE: When you close a BidMagic file, all changes that have been made to it will automatically be saved
