Estimating Menu Commands

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Close -W

Choose Close to close the current BidMagic file.
NOTE: If there is only one estimate open, this command is not available--choose Quit instead (see page 407).
Save a Copy
Choose Save a Copy to make a duplicate copy of the active bid.

You'll be able to save the copy under any name you'd like, in any location. When BidMagic is finished making a copy, you'll still be in the bid you started with.

Save As

Choose Save As to make a duplicate copy of the active bid.

Type in a file name for the new copy. BidMagic will save it in the same folder location as the original bid. After the copy is made, the new file will be the active document.

NOTE: The original bid will still be available on your hard drive. To open it, choose Open from the File menu.
