The BidMagic construction estimating software includes unit costs for interior & exterior doors and door installation. Door Estimating The Doors category includes all work done on interior and exterior doors. Door Cost Subcategories BidMagic estimating software divides the Doors category into several subcategories: Prehung Doors include all new interior door units that come complete with jambs and (optionally) casings. A representative sampling of door types is included. Exterior Doors covers new exterior doors, whether pre-hung or carpenter-hung. HINT: To have line items start out with an unlocked field, hold down the Option key when you click on the pop-up button. It will save you from having to unlock the padlock for each item! Custom Doors covers labor and material costs for carpenter-hung doors, and any specialty doors such as pocket doors, bifold doors and sliders. NOTE: This section only includes the cost of the door, plus the labor of hanging it. Jambs and casings for custom doors are handled on the Interior Trim card. Door Hardware handles locksets, deadbolts, hinges, and other door hardware. Door Accessories includes weatherstripping, thresholds, and similar door items. Door Repairs handles any repair work done to existing doors. Garage & Other Doors covers overhead garage doors and any other door work not covered in one of the other subcategories. Door Count The Doors card automatically tracks the number of 'unallocated' doors. It takes the number of interior doors entered into the Miscellaneous Dimensions card, and subtracts the number of items from the Prehung Doors and Custom Doors subcategories. It also takes the number of exterior doors entered into the Miscellaneous Dimensions card, and subtracts the number of items from the Exterior Doors subcategory. These unallocated numbers are displayed at lower right--they will help you make sure you don't accidentally forget any doors!
