Bid Menu Commands

Bid Menu

The Bid menu provides utilities that make the BidMagic estimating software easier to use.

Calculate -=

Choose Calculate to compute the Bottom Line price for the project. The latest price, and the change in price since the last time you calculated, will be displayed in the Price Box at top center (see page 332).
HINT: For a detailed breakdown of project costs, choose Bottom Line from the Navigate menu, or click in the Price Box at top center.

Lock Card -K

Choose Lock Card to lock all quantities on the current card (see page 87).

Lock Dimensions

Choose Lock Dimensions to lock all quantities in the Dimensions portion of the BidMagic construction estimating software (see page 87).

Lock Specifications

Choose Lock Specifications to lock the quantities for all line items currently displayed in Specifications (see page 87).

Unlock Card -U

Choose Unlock Card to unlock all quantities on the current card (see page 88).

Unlock Dimensions

Choose Unlock Dimensions to unlock all quantities in the Dimensions portion of BidMagic (see page 88).

Unlock Specifications

Choose Unlock Specifications to unlock the quantities for all line items currently displayed in Specifications (see page 88).

Clear Card

Choose Clear Card to clear all quantities on the current card. In Dimensions or Basic Costs, all unlocked fields will get zero as a value, unless zero would not make sense in that field. In Specifications, all line items will be completely removed.

Clear Dimensions

Choose Clear Dimensions to clear all quantities in the Dimensions portion of BidMagic. All unlocked fields will get zero as a value, unless zero would not make sense in that field.

Clear Specifications

Choose Clear Specifications to completely remove all line items currently displayed in each of the Specifications cards.
