Checking Specifications |
NOTE-- We retired the complete MacNail construction software package in 2000. and replaced it with Goldenseal-- which handles construction spec writing, plus accounting, construction estimating, and project management, This manual is still online, as a courtesy to die-hard MacNail users! You can create contracts, subcontracts or specs sheets from Goldenseal, using a process that is very similar to the MacNail Spec Writer. Proofreading Contract Specifications When you make a contract from an estimate, a separate clause is created for each Specifications line item that is actually used in the project. Any line items with a 'units used' quantity that is greater than zero will be included. If you are making a contract from a Project List a Schedule, or a BidMagic spec sheet, then all line items are included. NOTE: A subcontract is based on similar items, but it is restricted to just those line items that are provided by marked subcontractors. Before you make a contract with the MacNail construction management software, check through Specifications and make sure every item is ready to make a contract clause. |
