Using MacProject Schedules

Using Project Schedules in the MacProject Software

The MacProject project management software uses boxes and lines to set up the order of work for a project. This PERT chart will show the "critical path" as a darkened or a colored line. It will help you to determine which parts of the project need the most attention-- since delays along the critical path will result in delays for the entire project.

In the example above, the plumber is the on the critical path-- those lines are darkened. Other work has a certain amount of slack, which is displayed at the lower left corner of each box. For example, the electricians have about two days of slack-- they can delay a maximum of two days and not affect the project completion date.
