Scheduling Sort Special

NOTE-- We retired MacNail in 2000 or 2001, when we introduced the first version of Goldenseal construction business software. Like MacNail, Goldenseal is built for home builders, remodelers and other project-based businesses. Goldenseal is "run your whole business" software that creates simple construction schedules, and also covers your accounting, construction estimating, and project management needs. As in MacNail, you can use the Sort command to change the order in any business records.

Sort Special

The *Sort Special command will sort items in reminder lists, punch lists, or the Double-Check List. It puts them into your choice of ascending or descending order, based on the sort order button that you select in the MacNail construction scheduling software.

To sort a Reminder List:
1. Choose *Sort Special from the Data menu.
2. Make your choice of sort column and sort order, then click OK.

If you sort by date, you'll organize the reminders in chronological order. If you sort by person involved, you'll group reminders together based on the person who needs to be reminded. Sorting by where will group together all items in each room or unit.
