Moving & Copying Schedule Files

NOTE-- In 2000 we retired the MacNail construction software package, and replaced it with Goldenseal software for construction. Goldenseal is designed for builders, remodelers and other small businesses. It's an integrated program that handles accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. All of your company data is stored in a single Goldenseal file, so it's much easier to use!

Working with Project Scheduling Files

To move a file in the MacNail construction scheduling software using the Finder:
1. Open folders as needed until you can see the desired file icon.
2. Click on the icon, and drag it to a new location. You may have to stash it temporarily on a spare corner of the Desktop so you can open and close folders first.

To delete a file using the Finder:
1. Open folders as needed until you can see the desired file icon.
2. Click on the icon, and drag it into the trash.

To make another copy of a file using the Finder:Files, copying
1. Open folders as needed until you can see the desired file icon.
2. Click on the icon, and choose Duplicate from the File menu.

To back up a file in the MacNail project management software using the Finder:
1. Put a backup floppy disk into the floppy disk drive.
2. Open folders as needed until you can see the desired file icon.
3. Click on the icon, and drag it onto the floppy disk icon. If there is already an older copy of the file on the floppy disk, you will be asked if you want to replace it. Click OK.

HINT: To make backing up easier, set your folders to By Date in the View menu. It will let you see what has been changed since the last backup.
