Project Schedule Troubleshooting

NOTE-- In 2000 we retired MacNail, and replaced it with the improved Goldenseal construction software. However we still keep the manuals online, for die-hard MacNail users! Goldenseal is an integrated program that handles accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. The newer Goldenseal computer software offers many convenient features that were never present in MacNail.

Today's Date is Wrong

Reset the date using the Control Panel desk accessory. If it does not stay accurate, replace the battery in your Macintosh.

Too Many MacNail Menu Commands

If you open a Manager more than once (or more than one Manager at one time), it will add the MacNail menu commands each time to the MacNail project management software. This will not prevent you from using them, but it will make the menus very long.

To clean up the menus, close all worksheets and macros, and start the MacNail construction scheduling software again.

Unlisted Errors

Check your Macintosh and Excel manuals if you don't find the answers you need here. Errors that are not listed above could be hardware problems, problems with Excel or your system, or a result of viruses.

Be very careful with public domain programs, and test new programs or desk accessories for compatibility and viruses before loading them onto your hard disk.
