What-If Schedules

NOTE-- We replaced MacNail with the improved Goldenseal construction software back in 2000. However, we still keep the MacNail manuals online, for die-hard users! Goldenseal provides accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple construction project scheduling. It runs on Macintosh and Windows computers, and includes a networking version. As in MacNail, you can use Goldenseal for 'what if' schedule planning, by adjusting Working Hours, crew size or start date.

Creating What-If Planning Schedules

You can do "what ifs" quite easily by typing in a new crew size, start date, or delay factor. Watch the bottom window to see how the change affects the completion date in the MacNail construction scheduling software.

As long as you only make one change at a time, you'll be able to Undo the change and return to the original status.

You can also Redo the change once it is undone, which allows you to "toggle" back and forth between the two states to better see how the change affects the flow of the project.

NOTE: The Undo command is the first item in the Edit menu.
