Material Take Offs Master |
NOTE-- We retired MacNail in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction software. Goldenseal is designed for builders, remodelers and other small businesses, providing accounting, construction estimating, and project management, plus simple project scheduling. You can also see material takeoffs in Goldenseal, by using one of the Bill of Materials reports. Material Takeoff Data The Takeoff Master stores material information for each construction item that may be used in a MacNail estimate or MacNail schedule. Column A lists code numbers that correspond to each item in a MacNail schedule. If more than one material is used in a particular construction assembly, then more than one line will be shown with the same code number. Column B lists the name of each material item, and Column C lists the quantity of the item that will be used per construction unit (square feet, lineal feet, etc). Column D shows the purchase unit size for that particular material. If you are using MacNail Customizing version 3.0 or greater, the Takeoff Master will be stored inside the Master Files folder that is within the Customizing folder. If you are not using MacNail Customizing version 3.0 or greater, the Takeoff Master will be stored inside the Scheduling Blanks folder within the Schedules folder itself. The MacNail project management software will know the correct place to look for this file. |
