NOTE-- We
retired MacNail construction software in 2000, and replaced
it with Goldenseal construction
management software. Goldenseal is a complete computer software package
for builders and remodelers, providing accounting, estimating,
and project management features,
plus simple 'time line' project
schedules.
Goldenseal is also able to export its scheduling info to FastTrack.
Importing into FastTrack Scheduling Software
To import the schedule from the MacNail construction scheduling
software into FastTrack Schedule:
1. Quit
Excel (unless you are using MultiFinder), and open FastTrack.
2. Choose New Schedule from the File menu to start a new schedule.
3. Choose Import into Schedule from the File menu. If you are using FastTrack 1.0, you must
make sure that the From File radio button is selected. Any of the other settings in the dialog box will work. If
you are using FastTrack
1.5, in addition to the From File radio button being selected, you must also set both the Number
of Text Columns and the Number of Activity Levels to 2.
4. Click OK when you are done.
5. A second dialog box will appear. Open the Scheduling Reports folder (inside the Schedules folder).
Click on the name of the file that you just exported, then click Open.
6. The file will be imported into the current schedule.
7. Choose Save Schedule As from the File menu to save the new FastTrack project management schedule
under whatever file name you choose. |
